Consulting

The people who
run the companies

We advise founders and established businesses on the four things that decide whether a company works: how it is built, the market it serves, how it reaches customers, and the technology underneath.

Why us

Operators, not advisers

Most consulting is bought from people who have read about the problem. Ours comes from people who are currently living it. SOZA Ventures owns and runs five companies, and every one of them has had to answer the same questions you are asking.

We have registered the entities, argued about the pricing, built the platform, bought the media, and moved the goods. When we tell you an approach does not work, it is usually because we tried it.

That is also the limit of what we offer. We advise on what we operate: technology, marketing, trade, commerce and logistics, in the United States and Colombia. Outside that, you are better served by someone else, and we will say so.

Who it is for

Two situations,
the same discipline

Companies being started

You have a thesis and you need it stress-tested before it costs you money.

  • Is the market real, or does it only exist in the deck?
  • What entity, where, and what does it commit you to
  • What has to be built first, and what can wait
  • What the first year actually costs to run

Companies already running

The business works, but something has stopped scaling and the cause is not obvious.

  • Growth that has flattened, and where the ceiling actually is
  • Marketing spend that no longer returns what it did
  • Systems that were fine at one size and are not at this one
  • Margin leaking somewhere between the sale and the delivery

What we cover

Four areas,
and how they connect

  1. 01

    Company build

The structure, the operating model and the numbers underneath them.

Most companies that fail did not fail at the idea. They failed at the shape they were poured into: the wrong entity, an operating model that could not carry the volume, or unit economics nobody checked until the money ran out.

    • Entity and jurisdiction, including US company formation
    • Operating model: who does what, and what that costs
    • Unit economics, and the point at which they turn
    • What to build in-house and what to buy or rent
    • The first twelve months, costed rather than estimated
  2. 02

    Market

Whether the demand is there, who else is serving it, and what you can charge.

A market read is not a report. It is a decision about where to point the company and what to stop doing. We look at where demand actually sits, who already has it, what it costs to take a share of it, and whether the price you have in mind survives contact with a competitor.

    • Demand: where it is, and whether it is growing or moving
    • Competitive position, and the gap that is genuinely open
    • Pricing and packaging, tested against what buyers do
    • Route to the customer: direct, channel or both
    • Which segment to serve first, and which to decline
  3. 03

    Marketing

Brand, demand and the channels that pay for themselves.

Clank Group has been doing this for sixteen years, for brands from automotive to retail to financial services. What we bring is not a channel plan in the abstract: it is a view of which channels return money for a business your size, in your market, at your margin — and which ones quietly consume budget while looking busy.

    • Positioning and the story the market will actually repeat
    • Brand and identity, at the level the business needs now
    • Channel mix, and what each one realistically returns
    • Performance: acquisition cost, payback and where it breaks
    • Content and production: what is worth making, and what is not
  4. 04

    IT

Platform, systems and data — sized to the company, not to the ambition.

Tiqory runs booking and ticketing infrastructure where a single race condition means selling the same seat twice, so we are unsentimental about this: most companies build too much, too early, and then cannot afford to maintain it. The useful question is rarely which technology. It is what has to be yours and what should be somebody else's problem.

    • Architecture sized to real load, not to the pitch
    • Build versus buy, decided on total cost rather than preference
    • Integrations, and the data that has to survive them
    • Technical debt: what to pay down now and what to carry
    • Security and access before it becomes an incident

Engagements

Two ways
to work with us

Starter

A focused answer to a specific question

$1,500 USD

3 working sessions

  • One area in depth, or a diagnostic across all four
  • Session one: where you are, and what the real question is
  • Sessions two and three: the work, and the decision
  • A written summary with recommendations after each session
  • Questions answered between sessions, in writing
  • Sessions to be used within 90 days of purchase

Best when you already know roughly what you need and want it settled.

Start with Starter

Both engagements are delivered remotely, in English or Spanish. Prices are one-time, in US dollars, do not renew automatically and exclude any taxes that apply where you are. Sessions can be rescheduled with 48 hours’ notice. Full detail in the Consulting Services Terms and the Cancellation & Refund Policy, including a 24-hour cancellation window after purchase.

How it works

Four steps, no proposal theatre

You write to us with what the company does and what you are trying to decide. A paragraph is enough.

We talk for thirty minutes, free. The purpose is to find out whether we can help. If we cannot, we say so on that call rather than selling you the plan that fits worst.

We agree the scope in writing — which areas, how many sessions, what you receive and by when — before any money changes hands.

We start. Sessions are scheduled around your availability, usually one every week or two, because the work between them is where most of the value appears.

Book the first conversation

Honestly

What this is not

It is not legal, tax, accounting or investment advice, and it is not a substitute for a professional licensed where you operate. We will tell you when you need one, and often which kind.

It is not execution. We advise; we do not become your marketing department or your engineering team. If what you need is delivery rather than direction, one of the companies in our group may be able to help, and that is a separate conversation with a separate contract.

It is not a guarantee. Advice improves the odds of a decision. It does not remove the risk, and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling something.
